iStock is brought to us by our friends at Getty Images. Not only do they have awesome photos like their parent company, but the software also offers more affordable programs.
This site includes photos, audio files, videos, and illustrations available for all users. Naturally, you’ll also have access to a plethora of categories including finance and investing, science and technology, lifestyle, and business and finance. They also feature a signature artist each month, highlighting their profile for users to have a look at.
iStock also allows users to edit their photos and design them with an Adobe plugin for Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. iStock Editor lets you download your selected photo and edit with various elements including branded logos, resizing, watermark removal, and filter application. You can then upload your photo to social media, your blog, or website. The plugin is available for both Mac and PC.
Users can also download an assortment of additional plugins like Dropbox and Craft Stock. Craft Stock lets team members work together and edit projects in tandem.
As we mentioned, iStock has a collection of more affordable packages. They also allow one-off purchases with something called credits. Each photo on their site comes with the credit price attached to it. Most cost no more than one and users are able to buy a minimum of three credits for $36 CAD. You can also grab up to 60 credits for $575. This is a much better option for those looking for only a photo or two.
On the other hand, if you want a subscription, the cheapest option will cost you $40 CAD a month for essential images or $100 CAD for all images. However, the price drops to $29 a month for an annual package with essential images. It’s $85 CAD a month if you buy an annual package.
You can grab their photos from their site but also from the App Store and Google Play.
